The Great American Food Fest at NCCC Supermarket

NCCC Supermarket in Davao City conducted a month long in-store promotion in partnership with the U.S. Agricultural Trade Office (U.S. ATO) of the U.S. Embassy-Manila from September 3 - October 5, 2004. The promotion featured a variety of high-valued U.S. food products not previously carried by Davao-area supermarket including U.S. wines, juices, snack foods, canned goods and fresh fruit. This is the second annual American supermarket promotion the U.S. ATO has conducted in Davao City in an effort to promote American food and beverages in the region. The promotional campaign highlighted the qualities of U.S. food products in terms of value, good quality at affordable prices, wholesomeness and nutritional values for the entire Filipino family, and guaranteed food safety through USDA inspections or through product certifications by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). As part of its own promotional efforts, NCCC Supermarket offered a drawing for a free trip for two to the USA for shoppers that purchased at least Php 200.00 worth of participating US food and beverage products.
