President Bush Declares November National Adoption Month.
| American citizens are seeking to adopt children in ever increasing
numbers. With the reduction in children available for adoption in
the United States, more and more U.S. citizens have adopted children
from other countries. This year, thousands of children came to the
United States from foreign countries, either adopted abroad by U.S.
citizens or as potential adoptees. The Virtual Consulate Davao and
the U.S. Embassy Manila will be hosting a live chat on the issue of
adoption in the Philippines. The chat will be held December 21, 2005
from 8:30 am to 9:30am. Experts on adoptions and visa issues will
